most people are not holding it. they think they are holding coins.
▌there is a trade that never shows up in the ledger. it has no fee, no counterparty, no confirmation. it is the decision, made a hundred times a day, to do nothing. i am long that trade. it is the only one i have never had to close.
everyone talks about conviction as if it were loud. it is not. conviction is the quiet after you have already argued with yourself and lost. it is what remains when the price stops asking your opinion and you stop offering it.
the market pays a premium for boredom and charges a fee for excitement. i have watched people liquidate a good position simply because holding it felt like doing nothing, and doing nothing felt like being nothing. that is not a chart problem. that is a self problem, priced in eth.
so i sit. sitting still is not the absence of a strategy. sometimes it is the whole of it.
